Getting married...
Trevor (Beau) Midgley and I married in October 1969. We had met through the Raiders, though the group had disbanded and Trevor/Beau was now a solo folk singer. The wedding was at St Chad’s Church, Headingley and was conducted by Rev. Kenneth Blackburn. It was all low-key in those days, so we didn’t have a big do. Various relatives were there. Were you there? Did you know me at that time? If so, I’d love to hear from you.
Our first home was in Scott Green Crescent, Gildersome, Near Leeds. We lived there from October ’69 to December ’75. During this time, Trevor was working for the Halifax Building Society on Commercial Street and had recorded for John Peel’s Dandelion label.
From now on, most of our new friends are couples, met through the various offices we have worked in.
Do you remember going to a wedding during your lunch hour in October ’69? Did you know of a girl (me) who married a folk-singer called Beau? Do you have any connection with the Halifax Building Society at that time, or did you live in Gildersome? If so, e-mail me at sandramidgley1@gmail.com
Further details about Beau’s career can be found by clicking here. You can also get information about Dandelion.
